What is an ECHO Learning Community?
ECHO Learning Communities are not like a regular webinar series. Participants will need a computer with a webcam to log onto a live video conference meeting platform where they will see, hear, and interact with content experts and other participants in the learning community.

During each 60 minute ECHO session, a subject matter expert will lead a brief didactic presentation followed by a facilitated discussion with panelists and learners. Learners will then spend the remainder of the hour reflecting on the topic as it applies to their health center and reach out to the expert, panelists and other peer learners for feedback, recommendations, and discussion from the group

ECHO Participant Expectations
As a participant in this FREE learning community, we ask that you:

  • Attend all sessions in the series.
  • Participate in discussions and activities during each session.
  • Join via video for sessions by logging in on a computer with webcam, smartphone, or tablet.

CHAMPS/RMPHTC PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CHILDHOOD OBESITY IN PRIMARY CARE

Event Overview: In this series, health center care team members learned from Children’s Hospital Colorado lifestyle medicine specialists how to utilize effective communication strategies, address nutrition and physical activity guidelines, incorporate comorbidity screening, and when to make referrals to address childhood obesity. We encouraged a variety of care team members to attend, including medical and behavioral health providers, clinical support staff, and related disciplines. Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits were awarded for participation in this series.

The 2021 Prevention and Treatment of Childhood Obesity in Primary Care ECHO Series has now concluded. CME certificates will be sent to participants by the end of July 2021.
