The Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2010.  The law is comprehensive health care reform that contains many provisions.  Some of the main features of the law that affect Health Centers and Primary Care Associations (PCAs) are the health insurance marketplaces and the expansion of Medicaid, which came into effect in January 2014.
